New Forest U16s boys have moved into 2nd place in the Nat West Indoor League at the Ageas Bowl following an evening of mixed fortunes.

In the first game, the Forest were unlucky to be edged out by Parley in a nail biting finish. New Forest batted first and reached a decent total of 135 all out thanks in part to 58 from Dan Bailey. In reply, the New Forest had Parley down to the last man standing but they made it over the line for the win.

In the next game of the evening, the New Forest recorded an emphaticc win over Compton & Chandlers Ford. Batting first again, the Forest reached 149-5 thanks to an impressive 69 not out from Jack Harris and 35 from Toby Mills. Tight bowling restricted Compton & CF to just 105-5 with the ball Josh Royan taking 2-17.

Well done to Josh Royan for being the most economical bowler in the League to date closely followed by Dan Bailey!
